Penllwyn lodges comprises of 19 individual lodges (sleeping from 2 - 8 persons) and one cottage set in 30 acres of woodland and meadows teaming with wildlife. We have our very own fishing pool and gardens with a 9 hole golf course and restaurant adjacent to the park. This is a perfect getaway for those seeking a peace and quiet holiday. A great base for exploring the Welsh Countryside.
Mid week and weekend offers ( 4 nights for the price of 3) and £20 off week bookings all through March.


Local Activities

Penllwyn Lodges is situated in the heart of Mid Wales. This completely unspoilt area offers visitors the charming beauty of the Shropshire borders to the east and rugged splendour of the Welsh mountains, Dovey Valley and Cardigan Bay to the west.



The splendid untouched local village of Berriew which has the won the prize of Best Kept Village on a number of occasions is just 2 miles away. The village is situated on the Mongomeryshire canal and the River Rhiw providing visitors with a tea room serving homemade cakes, jams and preserves and light lunches. Berriew also has a small spar, local butchers and two public houses set in the heart of the village.

Guests of Penllwyn can access the village by car or for those who enjoy scenic walks can do so by walking along the Mongomeryshire canal.



The two local towns of Newtown and Welshpool are about 7 miles away from the park both providing supermarket stores, shopping and restaurants. Welshpool is also home to Powys Castle and Gardens - well worth a visit.



The area also offers guests at Penllwyn many lakes, dams and waterfalls all within an easy drive along with activities such as quad biking and pony trekking for those seeking a more active break.
