The two and a half acres of grounds include a pond, river frontage and two burns running through the garden. The house, offering five star accommodation, is attractively decorated and equipped to an exceptionally high standard.

Local Activities

Glenlyon is within a National Scenic Area in Highland Perthshire. It is Scotland?s longest and one of its loveliest glens, with a variety of landscapes from deep river gorges and rock pools to gentle farmland and dramatic mountain peaks. Local legends abound, Glenlyon being a main route for west-east passage for 2000 years. Innerwick Estate is half way up the glen on what was for many centuries Campbell land and used to be a part of Meggernie Estate in the last century. Now, as an independent working farm and estate it offers peace without isolation. It is just over a mile from the local post office and tearoom at Bridge of Balgie and thirty minutes from Aberfeldy or Killin. Perth is the nearest city (48 miles) with Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oban and Inverness all approximately two hours drive.

The glen is of particular interest to walkers with both low level river walks, many hill tracks and high level hill walks including Perthshire?s highest peak, Ben Lawers, within a few miles. Ben Lawers is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and guided walks showing the alpine flora are available in the summer months. The glen has many different bird species (including birds of prey), red squirrels, deer and flowers of considerable botanical interest.

Sporting activities include fishing on the River Lyon and Loch Tay for brown trout and salmon (during season) and stalking and hind shooting by arrangement (during season).
